At FlylikeStore, we believe in the power of threads to weave stories, memories, and community. Our workshops are a space to learn, create, and connect with the roots of Guatemalan culture alongside women artisans who keep their traditions alive.

We host our workshops across Latin America, each one rooted in Guatemalan craftsmanship and cultural heritage, expressed in different ways depending on the country.

Guatemala 🇬🇹 (Embroidery Workshops)

In Guatemala, we offer traditional embroidery workshops led by Manuela and Pascuala, who share their ancestral techniques and guide participants through the art of hand embroidery.

Argentina 🇦🇷 & Uruguay 🇺🇾  (Upcycled Faja Workshops)

- Espacio Garcia, Buenos Aires

- Casa Mac, Montevideo

In Argentina and Uruguay, the workshops are led by María from Sono Handmade. In these sessions, we work with recycled fajas sourced from the Chichicastenango market, transforming them into unique leather vests or bags. Each piece blends traditional Guatemalan textiles with contemporary design, giving new life to these beautiful woven belts.

WORKSHOP OPTION 1

Embroider You Own Strap (Antigua/ Ciudad de Guatemala)

Make Your Own Strap! In each session, master artisans Manuela and Pascuala Panto, from Chontalá, Quiché, Guatemala share the traditional embroidery knowledge used in fajas, passed down from generation to generation.

A unique space where every stitch connects us to our roots and transforms into soulful art.

WORKSHOP OPTION 2

Design your Own Vest or Bag with Guatemalan Straps (Buenos Aires & Montevideo)

Join us for a 5-hour creative workshop with María! You'll design and craft your own leather vest fused with vintage Guatemalan straps or bag. We'll share some delicious bites along the way, and by the end, you'll take home your unique handmade vest/bag — a true piece of art made by you.
